Went to Saturday vigil Mass this past weekend. The parish deacon is a 71 year old retired plumber, named Tony, who needs stronger reading glasses. During the reading of The Gospel, he lost his place and was unable to find it again so he just ad libed: “and Jesus said to the crowd - “hey, cut that crap out”. Tony then sat down

The pastor then got up for the sermon and simply said that Tony has just summed up 2000 years of the work of some of the greatest Catholic theological minds trying to analyze Christ’s mission and message on earth with that simple line of “hey, cut that crap out”. The pastor then sat down.
