I'm looking for ideas for an Informative Speech

My son is on the speech team in high school and will be doing Informative Speaking next year. He is trying to brainstorm ideas for topics.

Ideally, the speech should be on something relatively non-political and covers a topic which the audience may not fully understand but would want to understand better. The speech is 8 minutes long. Someone did Cryptocurrency/NFTs last year as an example.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
