I don't think anybody would think that either performance has been worth a damn but the notion that Schrange was done dirty by the athletic department and has a basis in holding it against them finds little support in reality despite your best attempt to slant the numbers. I think we can agree that neither coach's performance is acceptable and leave it at that.

What precisely did I slant?

Be specific?

Because I didn't call out the BE versus the ACC numbers?

Aoki has been allowed to hang around while Schrage was shown the door. I'm sure he wasn't happy about being let go, and would relish the opportunity to go toe to toe with his successor at ND.

There is no slant, and I never implied that Schrage was done dirty. Just that he was let go, while the guy after him has been given a much longer leash while producing worse numbers (both in the BE and ACC).

well this for example.

"But we fired him to hire someone who is without question, demonstrably worse.
Schrage went 119-104-1 at ND with one season out of 4, below .500
Aoki has gone 200-193-1 at ND with 3 seasons out of 7 below .500 "

Whether 15 games or 7 games above .500 hardly makes a difference and I don't think is "without question" "demonstrably worse" when you figure in the conference affiliation. Let's just agree that the results have been abject over the past 11 years and a reboot is in order and leave it at that.

Fair enough *
