His Samford team just beat FSU last night and they play hard fundamentally sound baseball. He is the son of a baseball legend in Alabama and will be picked up by a larger school soon. He was recruited by ND out of high school before he starred at Auburn. This is the coach to bring us back - he is young and a tireless worker!

I've thought for a few years that Dan Heefner at Dallas Baptist would be a good candidate. He played and coached at Northern Iowa so he's got some Midwest ties and has led the Patriots to regionals for what seems like every year. Also, they typically get a lot of kids drafted.
