Depth. None. Boyle was at about 60 pitches

He was obviously done, but remained in to give up the gap shot with the bases loaded. Into the wind. That was a shot given the wind.

I know but he can't find someone to throw strikes?

Well, the depth is Aoki's fault. So, it's still his fault

Keep in mind, however, that Swarbrick has covered for him until now for the program not being "ready" for ACC competition levels. To me, building a successful national program is the same no matter the league. Winning a national title should be the goal. Why shouldn't it? This program has been the CWS, so why couldn't they get a few games further?

So, whether they were competing in the Big East or ACC they should have been doing the same things in the baseball program. Why does Aoki get a pass for being a complete failure so far in the ACC?

And....by the way....the season is reaching make-or-break stage right now, given the upcoming series.

The next 5 series:

HOME Virginia (currently 16-12, 6-6)
HOME UNC (currently 22-7, 7-5)
AWAY Pitt (currently 7-18, 2-10)
HOME NC State (currently 27-2, 10-2)
HOME Louisville (currently 22-6, 9-3)

Outside of Pitt, the season is on the line at home against ACC powerhouses.
