He was in the field doing sideline duties the first two days. His voice was really bad (laryngitis or something of the like). Maybe he took Monday off for that reason.

How did Rooney become a candidate for ND? Obvious connection, having played and coached here previously, but he’s been out of coaching for 10 or 12 years and has only been a head coach at a smaller school.
