The Irish swept the series to go to 7-2 on the season.

ND is off to its best start since 2015.

Two challenging road series are coming up: At North Carolina and at Louisville (with a Radford game in between).

A road series at Clemson is after those games. Sheesh.


I agree with playing some weak teams at the start

And, it certainly builds confidence for the grind upcoming.

That said, I don't think the competition thus far tells us much about what to expect come ACC season. It's akin to Minnesota's non-conference football schedules.


I try to not look at the final score more the box score.

Especially on these types of games. How many errors did we have? Did we have guys picked off? Did we strand a bunch of runners? What was our pitchers WHIP? What about balls to strike ratio?

Winning games is nice, but did we win in a way that can lend some confidence that the team is playing good baseball? That is the part that I want to look at.
