At least based on what I read. The Irish have a commitment from 6’1” right hander Shannon Becker, who will not be a freshman at ND until 2021, who already throws in the 63-67 mph range (according to reports). Next year, in the 2020 freshman class, the Irish have signed right handed pitcher Molly Carney, who was hitting 65 mph before her senior season (this year) was cut short (again, according to reports). Coach Gumpf has been getting some very good talent to commit and sign, it appears.

Gumph seems to be loading up on it, which bodes well for the future.

Who on the staff is going to coach & develop the talent?

Gumph took over pitching this past year. Rearranging the deck chairs.

Why the hell doesn't she hire a top flight pitching coach? Pitchers that sign have not developed or improved during their time at Notre Dame. I have beat this drum for several years. Notre Dame is never going to win a Regional without a change in the coaching philosophy regarding pitching.
