. . . the new Cleveland MLB mascot name, the Guardians, will bring more
world series titles than old Wahoo ever did.

They handled this pretty well..Love the choice of Tom Hanks

to do the announcement. I like the linked story on why Hanks. No crying in baseball, but the announcement brought a tear to my eye being a sentimental Indian's fan who grew up in Cleveland. Even as a transplant I still listen to Hammy & Ronsenthal most games and watch on TV when I can. I like the change to Guardians. I agree with you that I hope they finally get that championship soon which hasn't happened in my lifetime, but my dad (RIP) would tell me about how cool 1948 was led by HOFer player/manager Lou Boudreaux. Maybe I'll go to a Guardians/Mariners game next year as I've headed up to Seattle several times to catch Indians games the last 40 years living in the Northwest.

Also glad they never called them the Cleveland baseball team.

You like the change?

So, there's 1. No Tribe fan could like the change. It's asinine, and repulsive. Oh, and Manfred's wet dream.
