About Texas 2036
Texas 2036 uses data, research, and leading expertise to enable Texans to make informed decisions to ensure our state continues to be the best place to live and do business through its bicentennial in 2036 and beyond. Texas 2036 is achieving this mission through the creation of robust data resources, a long term state policy strategic framework, and a statewide, non-partisan coalition of Texans advocating for meaningful long-term policy solutions. We are a dynamic, rapidly evolving organization seeking energetic individuals passionate about creating a long-term vision for the future of Texas and developing data-informed, pragmatic policy solutions to solve the state’s long-term challenges.

Summary
Texas 2036 uses data to drive civic demand for non-partisan solutions that will improve the lives of all Texans. To this end, the Policy Advisor is prepared to immediately engage in the upcoming 2021 Legislative Session, leveraging their experience in state government, data use, and communications to positively contribute to the successful realization of Texas 2036’s 2021 legislative agenda. The Policy Advisor will be responsible for synthesizing complex data into meaningful policy recommendations; communicating data and policy issues in a clear and understandable manner to legislative offices, state agencies, the media, and the general public; organizing coalitions to achieve meaningful policy reforms; and managing concurrent projects and multiple consultants to amplify these efforts. The Policy Advisor will report to the Policy Director and work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a collaborative, diverse, and creative environment. The Policy Advisor will need to be capable of working independently and entrepreneurially, and should be self-motivated to solve historically difficult problems to improve the lives of all Texans.
