If you can make the parade in the late morning on The Plain, do so. It is always a spectacle to behold (weather permitting). There are many good landscape shots of the Hudson river along Cullum Road around The Plain. Eisenhower Hall (Ike Hall) also has good views due north. Above Michie stadium there is an old fort, Fort Putnam, which has amazing views down into the stadium.
