Tom Devine of Jackson Lumen Christi was named Parade magazine player of the year. Can not recall the year, But I do know he played for ARA.

Olson, thanks so much for these posts. . Always fascinating, always bring back (usually) good memories. I can recall all of these players except for Dave Janderic and Morrice Richardson. Did they ever enroll? Please don’t leave us hanging re what happened between Devine and McLane.

IL leads with 10, then Minnesota and Indiana each with 5, OH and NJ each have 4.

Punching above their weight: HI and Nebraska at 3 (tied with PA, GA, MO, WI, MI, NY)

States where we haven't cracked through: ME, VT, RI, DE, LA, AL, AR, SD, ND, WY, OR, NM, CO, UT, AK, TX. Half these states hardly produce D1 talent so they would not be that surprising.

Lack of getting someone from TX has to be the biggest miss (with LA also surprising) - both extremely competitive to stay home though.

other winners at least strongly considered if not heavily recruited by ND this year.
