I recall seeing Rocket Ismail give an interview in which he described how well Lou Holtz knew football. According to Ismail, Holtz gathered his offense around him close to end of the game & drew up the final play right on the field telling everyone where to be & guaranteed Derek Brown would be open for a TD catch to win the game.

He was right about the play except for the one part he couldn't control.

last 28 games. It was the second half collapse at home (again) to PSU six weeks later that led me to question the invincibility of Louis Leo Holtz.

We were pulling the wins out of our butt that season (Michigan, MSU and the immaculate deflection). If Derek came up with that catch, I don't think we beat Miami a couple of weeks later.

I think we re-upped the intensity level after that loss.
