Crazy day for the Browns but super teams seem to never work out. And the let's build around a rookie qb deal has only worked for 1 team the Seahawks. Even the Eagles needed a backup to win the Super Bowl.

Beckham a huge risk. Missed 16 games last 2 years.

Too much of a me first guy, but no denying his talent. If they can reel him in so he stays away from doing coke and taking trips to Miami to party (on the eve of a playoff game), he may be worth the risk.

Not riskier than drafting a WR in the first round

and expecting to get OBJ-level production out of him.

They don’t need that level of production for deal to work.

Giants got a starting safety and kick returner, plus a third.

Beckham quit on team at end of year, and had worn out his welcome. Leaving the field during the game to hydrate himself in locker room because he doesn’t like water? Criticizing team and QB after you get a mega deal just doesn’t fit with team’s culture. I’m not a Giants fan but friends of mind who are appear to be glad he’s gone.

The Giants don't, but the Browns do.

If they knew they wanted a #1 WR, and were willing to draft one in the 1st round, giving up a mid round pick and decent (but replaceable) SS to make it a sure thing is worth it.

Yeah, they should have done nothing and

just stayed shitty.

They've built a core through the draft, and now added young, talented players through FA/trades. Hard not look at this as a wise move on their part. Will it work out? Maybe or maybe not. But doing nothing certainly wouldn't have been successful.

Jimmy Truckstop is desperate to win to sell tickets. *
