the TD on a play normally used by Holtz for two-point conversion attempts. (Reggie Brooks ended up getting the two-point conversion to win the game.)

There's JoePa consulting with Sandusky.

Of course, they weren't close.

Surprised they would even stand close to each other at any time during the game.

Probably first time they talked to each other in weeks.

I do like Paternos reaction. "Ah well, what can you do" *

memory: Dad is a life-long Cornhusker season ticket holder. Half way through the fourth quarter, the score was announced that Iowa State upset Nebraska that day. With the game-winning TD and 2-pointer right in front of us, the whole stadium was going nuts and I was jumping up and down and hugging my dad, who was stoic. His only words: "I'm cold."

I was in top row of south end zone under the scoreboard. *
