With the new standard seeming to QB's who aren't starting looking for someplace to go where they can start rather than sit and wait for an opportunity...it seems like this year might be the high water (so far) in transfer QB's starting.

It used to be going into a season their might be a transfer or two of significance it's always been that way. Troy Aikman was a transfer, Russell Wilson was a transfer, Vince Ferragamo was a transfer. So it's not new. But this year there are more transfers than ever that are set to possibly make their mark.

Jalen Hurts at OU
Kelly Bryant at Missouri
Brandon Wimbush at UCF
Shea Patterson at UM
Justin Fields at Ohio State
Shane Buechele at SMU
Gage Gubrub at Wazzu
Jacob Eason at Wash

This is just a partial list and more than a couple of those were big time HS recruits.

1 was drafted into the NFL
6 still playing QB at their original school (and not all are rock solid starters)

This makes QB one of the harder positions to project well

to the next level. I suspect DL more closely aligns with the top players after college.
