My dad graduated in '81 from UF and he went to school with one of the WRs on that team and his classmate used to openly discuss how they (he and his teammates) would go to the Gainesville Hilton (down on South 13th St in those days) and would receive $100-$500 handshakes from the boosters gathered there after every game. He said the more prominent the player, the better the handshakes.
