My post in that thread includes this from the Chicago Tribune (as repeated in the Sporting News)

The Chicago Tribune reported last year that Weis earned $649,000, including base salary, bonuses, "other" income, deferred income and non-taxable benefits.

The Tribune said Weis earned $850,000 from Adidas and about $1.3 million for media appearances and other compensation from Play By Play Sports.

When Weis was no longer coach, ND had to actually pay the full amounts (which is why Weis showed up on the highest salaried ND employee lists after he was fired, but not while he was head coach), as adidas was not going to funnel money to both Weis and Kelly.
