There’s actually a Willingham guy still left.

(Although he didn’t see game action until 2005.) J.J. Jansen, long snapper for the Panthers.

Was Jansen a recruit or walk-on?

I went to Rivals, and could not find Janen's name in the lists of the 2003, 2004, and 2005 recruits.

Jansen got a scholarship each of his last two years at ND,

so I am assuming he was a walk-on before that.

I never would have imagined he would stick in the NFL...

Looks like he has made $5 or $6 million for his career

Not a bad living and almost enough to buy a house in the Bay Area

Fortunately, he's moving to Vegas! *

DeShone Kizer and Te'von Coney waived by the Raiders.

Kizer remains 0-15 as a starter in the NFL. Interesting to note that Nathan Peterman beat him out.

I bet Kizer wonders every day how things would be different

if he'd have stayed with the quarterback whisperer one more year.

Did Kizer get a degree from ND? I thought he did but
by GolfJunkie17  (2020-05-05 21:56:06)     cannot delete  |  Edit  |  Return to Board  |  Ignore Poster   |   Highlight Poster  |   Reply to Post

can't remember for sure. There is no way he would have gotten a degree at tOSU without returning after his football career to finish.

There's a chance his football career may have been better served playing for Meyer in CBus. I don't think anyone would dispute that he'd have received better coaching there. But, I have a feeling he'd have had a tougher time beating out Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett than he had getting the job at ND. I hope his decision to go to ND pays off as his football life comes to a close and he moves on to the next chapter.
