reviewed and published in respected medical journals? Or just some journalist throwing pencils at the ceiling to see what sticks.

We already have one debunked "major study" during this pandemic. It is rational to be skeptical of any other claims.

Of course nothing is going to be conclusive (and the poster said as much). Doesn't mean we should just stick our fingers in our ears until a comprehensive study is complete, as that will be after-the-fact anyway.
