1. I realize that your post was questioning the FB staff, but it easily could be taken as specifically target a commit. It's more appropriate to make general criticisms, such as imbalance of positions recruited, failure to chase recruit X, what areas we recruit, plan B handling and other similar things if you believe it to be a problem

2. Are you aware that we have a verbal commitment from the top-rated recruit, Cane Berrong, from the same class?

3. Evans seems to have the size and speed to develop into a very good player either at TE or tackle.

4. TEs typically are not highly ranked. In the current ESPN top 300 for the 2021 class there were 11 TEs with 5 of them between 250 and 300 and the top one at #51.

5. TE is a tough position to project in college. The best ones often play wide receiver in high school and may have limited experience in the blocking part of a college TE. In particular Mitchell Evans will have played one year as a TE and 3 as a QB in high school. Probably we're getting a player who will red-shirt his first year to gain necessary experience.

6. High ranking at TE doesn't necessarily translate. If you look at 3 of our highest ranked TEs (Dereke Brown, Kyle Rudolph, and Alize Mack), we hit the jackpot once.
