Right tackle Carollo was a second-round pick who played 12 years in the NFL, making the Pro Bowl in 1968.

After ND lost to BC in 1993 after some no-name kicker's devastating GW FG kick, I prayed ND would find resolve & come back better & stronger than before.

28 seasons later.....

Prior to shooting the film, Rudy was a condo complex manager in South Bend. Sandy Bonvechio owned a condo in that complex. Rudy got to know him, and included him in the movie.
