but the replay guys were B1G. Anyone know for certain?
What I saw on replay was the ball in the air and the clock reading zero. Game was over with WMU ahead. So what was the explanation...and I doubt there is a soul on earth that will admit to making the call....for putting one second back?
They said the call was correct and released video and audio from the replay booth. They claim their hawk-eye system or whatever they call it shows the WMU player, who was out of bounds, touched ball with one second left.
The problem is that it is now confirmed that the clock shown on the TV was synced with the game clock and the ball isn’t close to touching the WMU when the clock shows zero.
So people are now claiming the BIG hawk-eye system was effed up.
by the same person? If they are, that’s some inaccurate time-keeping devices. . If they aren’t, is that ever sufficient evidence to overturn what is apparent on the field? There's visual evidence and there' some stealth evidence. The players on the field can only see the stadium clock, and they should be able to rely on their assumptions that the last 1 second the ball is in the air will last 1.0 seconds
Today, on ESPN radio, I heard it stated that they were supposedly synchronized by "strobe light protocol"...whatever that means. My interpretation of "strobe light protocol", from B1G explanation, means double secret timekeeper so we can screw a Cheatigan opponent whenever circumstances allow by using whichever of the two (which are purposely not synchronized) we need to use even when it shows what a bunch of blundering, lying, grossly biased fools we are.
Evidently, what we see on ABC is not the official time clock, although it is passed off by most officials as being the official clock. In this case, the explanation given was that there is a double secret clock that is official, and that the official clock seen on TV and called official is not official unless it suits the interests of whoever gains more. I really feel stupid making this statement, but it is what I read...with only a little subjective interpretation The official clock is not official because there is a secret clock that can be used if better interests are served. Evidently, there is no effort to sync them.
