Until Jack resigns in protest or fires Kelly, we really can't say where he stands on these issues. My sense is that he is loyal to his old friend Fr. Jenkins, but his power to influence real change is probably limited. A call for him to resign in protest sounds like wishful thinking to me. Few people in any walk of life ever do it, especially if they have a good personal relationship with the boss.
