Sam McGuffie was named to the US bobsled team.

that guy was the recruitnik wet dream; a honkey that could leap buildings (and cars) in a single bound and who was going to turn UM around under their new spread coach. I believe he had a good game against us in 2008 and then left.

There's a very long list of players to whom this description applies.

Christian McCaffrey. Doesn't matter, though; they all light us up.

Actually, McCaffrey did not light ND up.

He had one catch for 18 yards in 2014, 94 yards on 27 carries and 19 yards on 3 catches in 2015, and sat out in 2016.

His 2015 performance was his second worst of the season by ypc and and total yards. Largely why I was skeptical of his NFL potential if that's all he could do against our sorry BVG defense. (Not that they weren't very productive in 2015 anyway.) He had been productive in the role he's been asked to perform for Carolina. But for an 8th overall pick, that seems like a smaller role than that pick would typically be drafted for. He's been asked to be Theo Riddick. Of course it took Riddick a few years to settle into that role that McCaffrey performed as a rookie. He's still learning and may become more productive on the ground.
