Penn State has best odds to get Wimbush per a Vegas

oddsmaker. Totally speculative, I know, but something to talk about on a post-season day.

He was committed to them *

I might look seriously at Duke if I were him

Their senior QB, also a leader like BW, is graduating and going pro. BW could work under Cutcliffe, who is a great QB coach. And, he could get a Duke MBA, which has some clout.

How does that MBA work? Don't they have to pretend it

is something ND doesnt offer?

I’m sure there are MBA concentrations offered by Fuqua

That ND doesn’t offer

That would be great for Brandon

But don't we play them next year?

Yes, having them on the schedule creates a problem
by doghoused  (2019-01-10 15:07:46)     Delete  |  Edit  |  Return to Board  |  Ignore Poster   |   Highlight Poster  |   Reply to Post

BW will likely be better in the boardroom than he is on the field, so I expect that wherever he goes, it will be as much an academic decision as it will be athletic. I don't think PSU carries the same weight as some of his other options.

What's the buzz on Jalen Hurts

Also, Kelly quarterback transfers don't exactly have the best track record.

Has LSU had a star QB since JaMarcus? *

other than the fact that they recruited him out of high school?? They have 5 QB's listed on their roster.

Quantity vs Quality

They may have 5 undiscovered All Americans at QB but no one on the roster was rated as high as Wimbush out of high school. Not to mention, Brandon's experience and winning record at ND.

I wish him the best wherever he goes

It's one thing to bet on the outcome of a game. It's another thing to bet on discretionary decisions that people make. It's even worse with professional athletes an agents. Because we know that stuff is totally clean.

Do gamblers actually bet on this kind of stuff?
by HolyCrossHog  (2019-01-10 11:45:38)     cannot delete  |  Edit  |  Return to Board  |  Ignore Poster   |   Highlight Poster  |   Reply to Post

I don't know much about Vegas but I guess I thought these kinds of odds were just put out for fun or to get an oddsmaker or casino some free publicity. Can you actually place a bet on these odds at a casino? If so, what's to stop an athlete from making his transfer decision, withhold announcing it and then having a family member go to Vegas and place a huge bet? I don't think there are any insider trading rules that apply.

Frankly, he'd be stupid not to in that situation. *

Personally, I don't really care what other people do with their money, so long as it's not harmful to me or my loved ones.

I know it's only been four, but it seems like he's been there forever. He's like a BYU qb.

Anthony Morelli is rested and ready for a rare 6th year. *
