Best case scenario for those of us that pine for him at ND

Most importantly it shows he is getting the itch to coach again. Secondly, it's likely a short term stop. I can't see someone as successful as stoops living out the rest of his career in the XFL.

And since even the most ardent Kelly hater can't justify firing him after a 12-0 regular season, I would say that the stars are aligning nicely for ND to woo Stoops over to South Bend the next time Kelly inevitably shits the bed again.

If the new coach at Ohio St. does not work out they will

grab him.
