found him passed out in an Uber and had to walk him home.

I suspect that wouldn't go over well in the Gug.

Deep shit doesn't mean expulsion or anything that harsh, but I'm guessing more of a, oh shit, NDPD found me passed out and are escorting me to my dorm, the coaches are going to be pissed.

NDInsider said he punched both NDPD officers. That

lied, that will be reported, too. NDInsider doesn’t do hatchet jobs.

NYPost has picked up the story, which is nice.

Charges are underage drinking, battery, resisting arrest. Misdemeanors. He is out on $250 bail.

WNDU tweet linked.

You're relying on NDInsider as an authority when their lone source is a police report.

It doesn't matter which or how many media organizations have reported on it at this point, they're all relying on the same source, which is not terribly reliable itself.

And perhaps there is more to the story.

Perhaps there is not. Either way, it is certainly better not to make judgments based on police reports. Or, on media reports based on police reports. As you suggest.

That's relying solely on the police report

Perhaps that's how it happened. Or perhaps the police wrote a report favorable to them.

The standard for “punch” in a police report is often weak.

Especially when the only charge is resisting arrest.

I’m not sure whether he had any obligation for the cops to assist him home. Although I understand the police not wanting a drunk person to flee for his own safety. But if there’s no public intoxication charge, I’m having trouble seeing why they would have a right to detain him if he did not want help going home.

1) It doesn't add any value; and
2) It's a dumb position to take.

Circumstances always matter. That's the whole point of circumstances.

McKinley’s ND career might be over, but that’s that’s not what you said...

I don't think anyone would take him as a transfer.
