If a kid chooses Alabama or Clemson or Texas over ND and ND folks make comments like “dodged a bullet” or “40 year mistake” it’s just bitterness and pettiness by the ND fan and an objectively bad look.

If the same happens with respect to a kid who chooses Michigan, it’s simply a statement of fact. Michigan sucks. Groucho Marx said he wouldn’t want to join any club that would have him as a member. Similarly, I don’t want any kid who would choose Michigan and you shouldn’t either.
