That’s the Saturday they’ve picked for their one prime time game. The only other options would be Tennessee/Florida or A&M/Auburn.

Seems likely, but won’t be announced until September

SEC and CBS are using a 6-12 day window to announce the 3:30 and 8 pm ET games on September 21. The fact that the prime time game will be then strongly suggests it will be ND-Georgia, but it seems they are waiting to make sure Kelly doesn’t crap the bed against Louisville and/or New Mexico.

Or LSU/Alabama, which has been their pick almost every year. *

Except that today’s announcement said that September 21

Will be their lone prime time window.

CBS gets one game of their choosing, regardless of date.

The window is Sept 21st because they're choosing our game. Not the other way around.

I'd agree if it was at LSU, but it's at Bama in November *

LSU-Bama has been the CBS night game since 2010 *

I hope it is again

We're going to Athens and hope it's a day game. Something tells me this year will be different though. An SEC school hasn't hosted Notre Dame since 2004.

It won't be a night game again...

CBS announced that the night game is on Sept 21st. They just haven't picked the game for that day yet. All signs point to ND.

I am confused by the subject line.

Are you stating that 8 p.m. ET is definitely the official start time? It wouldn't be a surprise, but the announcement today from CBS doesn't give any start times for that day and I have not seen any other announcement yet. EDIT: There are two windows for that day

They haven't announced ND as the night game...

It's just likely with the competing games.

ND/UGA is a shoe-in

They won’t put one of those other two on in prime time.
