that ruined potential NC teams, and the fact that I grew up in California, beating USC means far more to me than any other game. Many of those losses to USC were to teams far worse than the team we played on Saturday. Several were because of completely botched/corrupt ref calls. Every win over those slimebags is reason to celebrate.

Lou's complete dominance over southern cal was one of my favorite things about that era.
