We both have coaches we don’t want.

One difference is that Helton doesn't have a lifetime pact.

Someone explain to me what Kelly does better than Helton.

The answer is obvious.

If we're mad at BK for failing to develop talent,

I assure you the SC fans are apoplectic, considering the NFL talent they pumped out under poodle.

Great! Now ND can do their part and not upgrade as well. *

They have the #67 class right now
by Hanratty5ND  (2019-12-04 19:48:49)     cannot delete  |  Edit  |  Return to Board  |  Ignore Poster   |   Highlight Poster  |   Reply to Post

Their 2019 class last year ranked #20.
2018 they had the #4 class. Those guys will mostly be gone after next year.

That is bound to show on the field in 2 years.

They have 11 commits right now.
The highest rated is #285 nationally.
5 of their 11 recruits are not rated in the top 1,000.
Of the top 25 players in CA--they have commitments from none.

I really don' think it will turn for them until they turn the page. Recruits know Helton is dead man walking and it would be a mini-miracle if he lasted another year.

Of course--we said the same thing last year at this time.

Excellent (In Mr. Burns’ voice)

Now, if Kelly can just stroll on down to FSU and Savvy retires and the University hires a person who can bring in Meyer, or Rhule, or John Harbaugh

Helton is quite possibly the best coach in all of football,

including the NFL. USC would be very wise to lock him down with an ironclad lifetime contract.

Don't be naive ...

It's all part of a brilliant and complicated plot to bring in Urban Meyer. Kind of like playing hard-to-get.

Meyer looked at the USC roster and said "next year" *

He also looked at USC's opening game next year and said,

"no thanks!".

Kind of like hiring Brady Hoke to give Harbaugh more time.

A great strategy... until it wasn't.

I'm not naive...
