Can someone please explain to me?

I realize there are a lot of contracts and agreements between the bowls and conferences (many more than than say 10 or 20 years ago), but why wouldn't a 2 loss ND team be assured of receiving a bid to a high quality bowl game? Historically this would be a given. If it truly does come down to more contracts being in place in recent years then why should we not be irate with Jack? The bowl game is the seminal game of the year. How we could be prepared for the type of result we have this year (a grade B bowl game after only a 2 loss season to ranked opponents) is absolutely against the norm and traditional expectations of this program and fan base. And if the reason all relates to the ACC deal (which I suspect it does), then what the f**k have we gained from this deal? Seems to be a horrible deal now in hindsight.
