NCAA should allow teams to do “spring practice” in May-June.

Or June-July. The players are on campus almost all summer anyway for classes and “voluntary” workouts.

I don’t know what to do about teams like Clemson who had 5+ practices in before the shutdown. Impossible to make a perfectly level playing field.

I think the players really look forward to the Spring Game. It’s goofy, it’s loose, they get to run out of the tunnel, minimal tackling. And I’m sure that, after months of zero sports anywhere, fans will come to watch. Delightful South Bend mid-summer weather notwithstanding.

Recruiting visits can happen during that time as well.

Skipping the spring cycle altogether would be such a huge loss for teams’ and players’ development.
