I joined to get ticket to the game at Lambeau
Dear David Hickey,
We recognize that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed the way we live. As uncertainty continues to surround our planning we first wanted to thank you for generously supporting Wisconsin Athletics. We often say that we have the best fans in the country and you continuously prove us right.
We’d like to provide an update regarding your single-game home and/or away game ticket requests for the 2020 football season. At this time, we have decided to delay reviewing requests, including the highly-anticipated game vs. Notre Dame at Lambeau Field on Oct. 3.
All single-game ticket requests will be reviewed and fans will be notified regarding fulfillment once more clarity is provided regarding the 2020 football season. Our hope is that this information becomes available in the coming weeks.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to communicating the status of your football single-game home and/or away game ticket requests in the future.
Thank you again for your support of Wisconsin Athletics.
On, Wisconsin!
with Packer beat writers and there's been nothing about this move with them.
days later? I'm not following how that matters here.
It seems to me like it's more pertinent to keep college kids on their own campuses as much as possible to reduce the chance of major outbreaks, but who knows. Maybe someone smarter than me knows a better answer.
Two games probably wont tear up the field but if the right weather rules in it might.
And Wisconsin will overfill their stadium the following year
Yay
Such is life.
Good in that games like that should be played on campus.
Bad in that, if things progress as we all want them to, ND won't be able to have many fans for their game this season but WI will be able to sell out their stadium next year.
Why would they move this year's game to ND Stadium? It should be played at Camp Randall this year, no?
You have it reversed. Lambeau was an ND home game. Soldier Field was a Wisconsin home game.
But I assume it is wrong.
will move to GT's campus too.
No sense in playing at NFL venues if fans can't be present.
there is zero point holding it at the dome without fans.
if there are no fans?
Or dramatically reduced fans?
But the real reason is that the game won't be economically viable without 80K paying fans.
rented via VRBO. Yeee!
Mine wasn't that steep (we have a relatively small group going), and I've only paid in half so far, but yeah that will suck.
I hope they make any announcements soon so I can try to push for a full refund. I doubt it will work, but I'll at least try if I can...
