ACC Commissioner Swofford retiring - hope they take Jack
by Jvan (2020-06-25 11:14:55)

Please take him off our hands.

Apparently Clemson’s President is a favorite for the job

I hope he doesn’t leave because he’s truly a dynamic leader that would be very hard to replace. He’s basically the epitome of what a college president should be.

Let's write a glowing letter of recommendation. *

NCAA is probably too small...he's been around a lot of great coaching for 37 years

I agree that the ACC is unremarkable *

His gig at ND is far too cushy. He might actually get criticized by his employers if he were ACC commissioner.

Kelly will perform double duty as AD and head FB coach.

He will then move to permanent AD in 4 years and name fleet feet Tommy as head FB coach. It’s all lining up nicely. Let the commissioning of statues begin.

Not without a jet, he won’t

But otherwise, yes, ND is just stupid enough to have it all be so.

Has Kelly ever signed his new contract extension yet? * *

He's already the best Director of Athletics in the ACC.

The ACC would be crazy not to take him.

Didn't Kevin White want to be ACC commissioner too? *

Doesn't he still maintain a residence in Indy? I was thinking he's never sold that and moved to South Bend full time. He's an Indy guy, might be interested in the NCAA job if it came open, but taking the ACC job would require he move to Greensboro.

It would mean Jack giving up his WNDU weatherman gig

it really kushy here at ND and no matter how bad he F's it up, he keeps his job and seems to get raises. I thought by now it would catch up with him, but nothing has. He survigved losing 23 wins with the cheating scandal and kept his coaching who seems to be now thriving and maybe he will survive the Pandemic.

We'll see if he wants to jump and I could see the ACC wanting him.
