Won the tournament championship
Went further in the NCAAs than anyone else
Consistently strong recruiting
Solid coaching
Didn’t lose generational superstar talent to NHL - very good goalie is back

UMD at 1 was a given due to their youth last year

We were legitimate prior to the single elimination tournament

Michigan much less so (.588 win % but young and talented)

OSU with a good year but not the pedigree of several other programs that had good years too

The B1G has a good year but shouldn’t be treated as the dominant force in the NCAA.
