45 and sunny tomorrow - will that be a problem?

What’s the temp that starts to melt the ice?

And again...can we tailgate?

I am planning to tailgate. So yes (I think).

The initial email announcing parking mentioned “continuing the model used at Garth and Winter Classic.” I believe tailgating was permitted at those events. We are going for it.

The 2020 Winter Classic will be in the Cotton Bowl stadium

(Stars vs. an opponent TBD). I assume they aren't counting on it being as chilly as last weekend. The average high in Dallas on January 1 is 56 degrees (although I don't recall it being that warm for any of ND's 7 outdoor Cotton Bowls).

There also was an outdoor game at Dodger Stadium in January 2014. Temperature was 63 degrees at faceoff, but the ice was just fine. The game was at night, so there was no glare issue.
