some offense. What he's never been able to do is take a team that has struggled to find offense and figure out what to do to make it consistently work.

But having noted that, getting swept at home by this edition of Michigan hockey is simply not acceptable. The skunkbears failed to notch a win in conference until their 8th game. The only other sweep they pulled off all season was of lowly Lake Superior State. After seeing their goaltender find his groove and going unbeaten in their last 3 games, the confidence factor should have been resolved.

They have put themselves in a position like last year, where it became necessary to win the conference playoff to make the NCAAs. And while that was a nice accomplishment, even in a tournament known more for being a crapshoot than not, playing must win games like that takes a lot out of a team.

My guess is this team will be among Jackson's earliest here to hit the golf courses.
