Former A.D. Gene Corrigan passed away Friday.

I believe he once remarked the saddest day in his career was when he announced the University was dropping hockey in 1983. He was a good guy and a good A.D., the last that has worked at Notre Dame. Most of those who succeeded him can't even be bothered to be good guys. They could have learned something from Corrigan.
