Some penalties don't call for the removal of players

In fact most of the time when penalties are called on both teams at the same stoppage of play you don't remove players. Notre Dame had 2 men in the box (the major on Burke and the minor on Crawford) and when Minn scored, Crawford returned to the ice. So when the minors for slashing were called on Lansdell and the MN player, even though they went to the box, it was still going to be a 5X5 situation.
