The King Clancy Trophy citation:

"To the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community."

40-year decision. Not sure it holds the cache of the Walter Payton Award, but it’s hockey’s closest equivalent. Well done.

We sometimes overlook or forget the amazing contributions many of our favorite athletes make to the betterment of their neighbors and society. Proud of his association with the Irish hockey program and the University.
