I met Coach in an airport perhaps 10-12 years ago....

He was just by himself waiting to board the plane. I didn't want to be the guy that bothers him excessively, insists on a photo, autograph, etc. So I just quietly went over, told him I was an ND grad, and said "Coach, I just wanted to thank you for all the wonderful times and memories I have because of you" and let him be. He was smiling his usual smile and was very gracious.
