Gaps in their NCs:

1995, 2000 (5 years)
2000, 2002 (2 years)
2004, 2009 (5 years)
2010, 2013 (3 years)
2016-Present (6 years (not counting Covid in 2020)).

Let's hope the drought extends..... *

There have been some very good players there since then, but it helps to have either a great one (Ms. Stewart) or a superb cast of characters 1-5 (ND) working in sync.

Yes and 10 of those 11 NCs had Stewie, DT, & Maya Moore,

arguably 3 of the 6 greatest women's NCAA tourney players of all time. The other 3 I would say are Parker, Holdsclaw, & Cheryl Miller, all of whom won at least 2 NCs. Geno was effective enough to have 3 like Pat Summitt had 2 players which helped her get her 8 championships.

Actually, 9

None of those players were on the 1995 or 2000 teams. DT was a freshman on the 2001 team. FWIW, 2002 was probably more the other 4 starters (who were all 1st round choices in the WNBA).
