If you recall, Thompson was a 5'9" point guard from Joliet, Illinois, who visited ND pretty early in the process, received an offer and posted about it.

Nothing really went much further than that (well, save for interest in KK Arnold and Hannah Hidalgo). However, Lisa Thompson did commit to DePaul, but apparently decided that DePaul was not the place for her once the top three scorers entered the transfer portal.

So, she obviously was in touch with past coaches and Coach Q was one of them. (Coach Washington was obviously a contact for Thompson during the ND process). So, Thompson finds a new home and Coach Q picks up a pretty good point guard. Best of luck to both of them.

Coach Washington. However, I believe that this recruiting setback is another sign that the Doug Bruno era is approaching its end. His teams were fun to watch, although their lack of effective low post play hurt their ability to go far in the post-season.
