Football game, so she must have an offer from their, and has an offer from BYU.
Her body frame reminds me of Citron but hard to tell skill level from videos.
five times last season. Excellent player. She made me think of Addy Brown at Iowa State. Brown’s a Derby, KS, girl (suburban Wichita).
According to this article from the Topeka paper,
"The 6-foot-1 forward helped Missouri Phenom EYBL 15U to a major title victory in Chicago as Vickery’s AAU team won the Nike Nationals EYBL Championship on July 22. She was a key force in the game using her touch around the rim and outside shooting."
That victory, as you know, is no small deal. As such, it's gotten her a lot of attention:
While I agree that an Iowa State could be a logical landing spot, it looks like most of B1G -- most recently Nebraska -- is also after her. I see Michigan State, which plays very upbeat ball, is also in the mix. Would imagine that if she continues to improve (and perhaps win that last game in the state playoffs), she'll gain even more visibility (btw, in the pictures in the article, did she play against the same "Derby" high school that Brown attended?)
I've seen a few tapes and she can score from multiple levels and has good technique in her shot and rebounding form. Will look for one worth posting.
She's Class of 2027. Not sure if she's Irish-level (yet), but Niele and Michaela are going after a slew of 6'1"-6'2" wings in 2026.
watched that KSHSAA streaming service. #7 seed Washburn Rural beat #2 seed Derby. The coach at Drrby subbed 5 for 5. He was an idiot, imho. Derby had an Oral Robert’s commit that WRHS had no answer for, but every 4 minutes she came out of the game. Poor plan.
Yes, it's a recruiting/highlight package. That said:
- Can score from all levels.
- Really nice form on the three-pt. stroke (hence, I can see why she'd be a fit for an Iowa State or Oklahoma)
- Can drive with left and right hand. Like that right-handed push shot from above her head (half hook, half jumper)
- Good passing from the paint to cutters
- Rebounds well. Plays in "small" division, but she's got technique and form.
In some cases, I'd wonder about level of competition, but she quashed that question with her AAU team victory in Chicago. That's tough competition.
she is rated 21st in the country by ASGR
that highly.
Harvard and Yale have offered, so she must have the goods academically as well.
type to me. That’s based on absolutely no substance whatsoever.
