"despite a significant injury to superstar Napheesa Collier that will keep her out for at least the first month of the season.". KMac's "Notre Dame kid" Olivia is odds-on Rookie of the Year favorite (-185) per ESPN.

The Lynx are atop the WNBA standings and are now third on the championship odds board at +500 after beginning the season with a fifth-best +800. The Double Duck team NY Liberty with Sabrina & Satou are #1. The Triple Domer LV Aces are #2. The only other team beyond the Lynx with 2 Domers starting (Dallas Wings) has moved up to sixth in Champ games odds. I am sure that is fueled by Jess' surging success. Both Wings & Lynx had blowout wins last night and are now 1st & 3rd in the 15 team WNBA standings

The other three teams with 1 ND starter Mystics (Soni), Tempo (Marina), & Chicago (Sky) are 10-12th respectively.

Correction: Soni plays for WNBA's Mystics, not NWSL's Spirit *

Please be careful with the quotation marks.

I realize now that it is your term that you're putting in quotes but it reads as if ESPN wrote "Notre Dame kid" which they did not.

Yes it's the South Bend Tribune article quote reference, but

I did change it so it is more ambiguous so I don't get your accusation of my hype. My true intention of the post is pointing out how our ND grads and ex-players are having a dominant impact on this years WNBA. I doubt ESPN will sue me on the mistaken reference since I am promoting more clicks for their article.

The way it was initially written was misleading.

I read it that the story discussed KMac and had the wording "Notre Dame kid". It had neither. I do understand what you were trying to do, I was just cautioning that when you say "Per ESPN" and use quotes, it will be assumed that's what the article says. I was not implying the problem was copyright infringement or that you would be sued.

Appreciate the coaching. KMac has always been at best

2nd fiddle on both the Lynx (behind Collier /Fowles) and previously the Stars/Aces (behind Danielle Robinson/Aja Wilson) as every time she made her 5 all-star games she was joined by at least one of them. Now with Collier out seems like Liv is getting all the press while workhorse & team player KMac is playing the most minutes. The truth is rookie Olivia with her 5.5 years playing college has fit in well with the other 9 yr+ WNBA vets (Kmac, Howard, Williams, & Coffey) for the Lynx team to really jell under coach Reeves even without Collier. They will give the Aces & .Liberty a fight for the crown.

Nice to see two ND starters on that team. Hope KMac gets her 1st WNBA title this year to match all her European championships where she was a star,
