Our new favorite coach to dislike got his comeuppance for his misbehavior during the 2018 Final Four.

INDIANAPOLIS — Louisville coach Jeff Walz has received a one-game NCAA Tournament suspension for comments he made toward NCAA committee members and staff at the scorer’s table during the Final Four.

The NCAA issued a public reprimand to Walz on Friday.

Walz must serve the suspension the next time his team reaches the NCAA Tournament, regardless of what school he’s representing. The committee also will withhold Walz’s Final Four per diem allowance.

NCAA officials said in a release that Walz “directed inappropriate comments and profane language” toward committee members and staffers during Louisville’s 73-63 overtime loss to Mississippi State in a March 30 NCAA semifinal.

The Division I Women’s Basketball Committee noted Walz had been reprimanded several times in the past. It decided to apply a stronger penalty to discourage future misconduct.

Coaches repeatedly violate rules and NCAA ignored most

Of it. I'm glad he got dinged but he does this in many games and has been reprimanded before. Why do they expect him to stop? What happens when someone reports the next violation.
Then talk about the coach's box which is defined as the area Walz etc avoid the most.
So the NCAA doesn't enforce most of its coach rules, why have them? If it's a rule enforce it or forget it, don't leave it to individual refs to call or not call.

ACC should follow their lead

After that BS "Say My Name" routine he pulled in the handshake line, he should get suspended for his behavior by the ACC as well.

....some things don't change. (NCAA release below)

He's been violating so many of these coaches' rules (the box), almost bullying refs and scorers, that he expects to get away with it. The irony is that he-who-must-not-be-named actually had a legit beef on the Hines-Allen non-call. Did the NCAA blow the whistle because he showed them up?

Two wrongs don't make a right....

or do they? He is now a coach for the U.S. National U18 team and that can only help with NCAA recruiting.

Not familiar with him. *
