ACC Extra games.

Are they going to package that into ESPN+? Is a simple ESPN included package going to be enough?

A couple of the WNBA final games were on ESPN news, and I came to find that my package didn't include that ESPN.

I'm calling Spectrum right now. Don't want to miss a second of these ladies.

What did you find out? *

From ND Hoops Recruits:

This is excellent!

WBB: Now that the full schedule's out, I see 2 games as candidates for the National Championship banner ceremony...12/4 vs UConn (4PM on ESPN), or 1/10 vs Louisville (7PM on ESPN). Because of the opposing coaches, I just can't see Muffet picking any other game.

Upon Closer Inspection, This Is A Little Tricky....

..and I base that on the AA article you also passed along.

AA: "The Harvard game — a 4 p.m. start because it comes on a football home weekend — will be just the second-ever meeting between the Crimson and Irish."

- Harvard is the first game but 4 p.m. on a Friday on a football weekend? Some/lot of ticket-holders at work, possible parking issues.

- Penn is a regular night game, but it's on Monday. Still, one might like to get the banner in the rafters for the rest of the season ASAP, because the next home games are:

- Thursday, Nov. 29th vs Iowa.
or
- Sunday, Dec. 2nd vs. UConn

Iowa is a big game as part of the B1G vs ACC series and could offer some suitable hoopla in a positive way. Plus, leading scorer in the country -- Megan Gustafsson -- comes to town.

UConn offers a potentially huge Sunday national audience on ESPN vs. the "do we really want to do this" decision of putting up the banner against the team you (barely) beat in the national semifinals, could use as mega-incentive at this game and season ("don't poke the bear") and is a mega-rival not only on the court but in recruiting.

So, let's play scruples.....

Banner goes to the rafters

During the Penn game.

simple logic

4 pm problematic, but football weekend good for recruiting

They should schedule this game for Friday night instead. Why 4 pm? Because of pep rally? This could be a great Nielefest weekend (unless it falls into one of those dead periods)

I would hang banner early as possible in the season - obviously a weekend would be best. But I wouldn't rub it in the face of UConn or Louisville - both of those teams did beat us last year.

Agree, banner raising should not occur

Tied into the UConn game for several reasons: be classier than them and don't poke the bear.

Louisville would be tempting, but 2019 is much too late.

Too bad Baylor is not an early season Saturday home game.

I would hope we have more class then that

and UCONN is Sunday December 2nd

that would be foolish, IMO

Has UConn or anyone else rubbed in

Coach mentioned the Penn game on November 12 th. That, of course. could change.

I would assume either Harvard or Penn

Penn makes sense since Muffet is from Philadelphia.

This is fabulous - thank you! *
