2019 Lieberman Point Guard Candidates Out; Mabrey Named
by dillon77 (2018-10-22 15:02:11)

Pretty solid list here: From Ionescu and Slocum in the state of Oregon, to Kea, Mabrey, Mangakahia in the ACC. And Dangerfield (UConn) and Campbell (DePaul). Syracuse's Mangakahia is a force of energy. Will be interesting to see how the international and domestic hodgepodge of recruits fit in there with her at the driver's wheel.

Some of these players aren't "pure" point guards.

More like lead or combo guards. And I would include UConn's Dangerfield based on how she was used last year.

Evina Westbrook is the only other name on the list that

I can recall being linked to ND as a recruit. If this is true, then it shows that ND had high hopes for Ali Patberg as the successor to Lindsay Allen. It is a shame that we never got to see her at her best. Her sophomore year was painful to watch because she was not ready to play her best that season.

What?! No Jordan Nixon? *

Actually, three of the frosh PG's I'll enjoy watching this year are, in fact, Ms. Jordan Nixon, Stanford's Jenna Brown (especially since the Cardinal's starting pg is out with an injury) and one Dara Mabrey, down at Va. Tech.

I'm hoping Ali P makes the mid-season list. *
